How to Setup
Install It
Locate the diagnostics port in your vehicle and either plug the dongle directly or use a convertion cable to connect it.
Pair It
Go to the Bluetooth menu in your device and pair the Scanner M1, if you cant find it press and hold the reset button on the dongle for 3 seconds.
Setup Up
Start DMD², go to the OBD View and tap the cog wheel in the center, tap "Select OBD Bluetooth Dongle" to choose the M1 dongle.
Data Everywhere
You can view the OBD data not only in the OBD View but also everywhere in the app using the available slots.
Compatibility & Sleep
Our dongle will work with almost every car, 4x4 or Overlander. DMD² will read OBD2 standard data which been available since 1996.
For motorcycles, OBD2 standard is available since 2011 (Euro5 up), although there are cases where even older motorcycles will also work.
Please notice that most motorcycles require a diagnostics port to OBD converter cable (which we also sell).
Sleep mode details:
Conditions for sleep mode:
1> There is no communication between the mobile phone and dongle for 15 consecutive minutes.
2> The motorcycle OBD bus has no active data communication for 15 consecutive minutes.
Wake-up Conditions After Sleep:
1> The paired phone initiates the connection.
2> Motorcycle OBD bus has communication data.
3> The voltage of the motorcycle battery drops by more than 2V instantaneously.
