DMD NOR7E Announcement
DMD Nor7e: A New Standard for Adventure Navigation, Coming March 2026
DMD Navigation is preparing to launch a brand-new navigation device in March 2026: the DMD Nor7e. Built with the performance level of the T880X, the Nor7e introduces a fresh hardware philosophy focused on rider control, offline communication, and rugged real-world usability.

João PereiraWhile sharing the same powerful core as the T880X — including dual-band GPS, a higher performance CPU, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 5G connectivity, and eSIM support — the Nor7e differentiates itself with a set of carefully chosen features aimed squarely at adventure and group riding.
Designed for Control While Riding
One of the most noticeable changes is the new front-facing control layout. The Nor7e adds dedicated zoom buttons and a screen touch enable/disable button on the front of the device, allowing riders to interact quickly without diving into menus or removing gloves.
On top, four large, user-configurable buttons take center stage. Based on extensive rider feedback from previous models, these buttons are now bigger, taller, and color-coded, making them easy to identify at a glance while riding. Each button can be mapped to custom functions in DMD2, improving safety and usability on the move.

Built-In LoRa for Offline Group Riding
A major highlight of the Nor7e is the integrated LoRa technology, complete with an SMA antenna connector and included antenna. This enables offline location sharing, making it possible for riders to track each other during group rides even when cellular coverage disappears.
This feature is fully integrated into the device as a stock capability, reinforcing the Nor7e’s focus on remote travel and adventure use.

Advanced Connectivity with Dual M9 Ports
The Nor7e introduces a flexible and robust connectivity system built around two M9 connectors:
1× M9 port for wired power and remote control
1× M9 accessories port with full USB data support
This design allows riders to connect CAN, OBD, controllers, USB accessories, or any other custom cable, with virtually any USB device adaptable to M9. The result is a strong, waterproof, and highly expandable ecosystem — including the ability to run two USB accessories simultaneously.
Internally, the device runs on 12V, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
High-Brightness 7” Display Built for the Outdoors
The Nor7e features a 7-inch 1920×1080 LTPS display with:
2200 nits brightness
24-bit True Color
Hard coating and thick protective glass
Polarized filter for improved visibility
This screen is designed to remain readable in harsh sunlight and demanding riding conditions.

Smart Visual Alerts with Front RGB LED
A brand-new feature makes its debut on the Nor7e: a front-facing RGB LED, fully controlled by the DMD2 app. This dedicated LED allows visual alerts without relying solely on screen flashes.
Examples of configurable alerts include:
Group Ride SOS – fast flashing red
TPMS low pressure – constant orange
Navigation turns – slow blue flash that accelerates as the turn approaches
OBD alerts – such as high engine temperature
New notifications – short green blink
Each alert can be customized by color, brightness, and flash speed, giving riders full control over how information is presented.

Rugged Design with Integrated Mounting
The Nor7e chassis features side grooves for near-invisible holder attachment, keeping the mounting system discreet and aligned with the device. All four corners include dampening cushions to improve drop resistance, along with subtle fins to reduce scratching during ground contact.
A metal holder with vibration dampening is included, along with the motorcycle harness.
